What is our goal?

To provide church, school,
sports, and community organizations with the opportunity to raise funds for
their organizations, and our non-profit partners (Big Brothers Big Sisters,
Sight Connection and North West Center), through collecting cloth, shoes, and
bed/bath donations.
o
To
earn $1,000 dollars an organization would need to donate 8333 pounds
o
In
Value Village language: 362 SOK’s (approx. 8 carts)
o
A
filled large black garbage bag is approx. 23 lbs. or the equivalent of 1 OK…so
if your school has around 500 students and more than half of them bring in one
bag, you would be very close to earning $1,000!
What is the next step?

Let’s get together
face-to-face and put a plan together the work for you.
We can help with marketing and other ideas to make your drive a success
(Facebook, Linked-In, Twitter, Flyers, etc).
o We want to find out about you/your
organization. What is your mission? What is your goal and how can
we work together to achieve it?
o We want to make sure you understand
the program details and best practices, a few of which are outlined below:
1. We pay 12 cents a pound for all
lightly used, reusable items (clothes, clothing accessories, linens, and
shoes).
2. We will gladly accept donations of
household items (clock radios, coffee pots, etc.), books and furniture, but we
do not pay for such donations.
3. 2000 pounds, the minimum donation
requested is, roughly equivalent to 90 individual donations. In an
average school of +/- 500 students, that’s less than a 20% participation rate
if students are only collecting from their homes. Students that go out in
the community and network in the housing communities and buildings where they
live can easily blow these results away!
4. The best news of all is that we pay
our non-profit partners for every donation you make and at the same rate of 12
cents per pound. Please be advised, however, that this rate is only
available if the donations are delivered to us. If that is not possible,
we can make other arrangements.
