Just thoughts......2 years ago our pitcher and catcher decided to tryout for the Lady Hawks, which by the way is a great program, and they were selected. Were we disappointed, sure, but it was the families choice to move on from our team. This all happened after the season but did the LH come and watch us play during the season, maybe, but there was nothing wrong with that in my opinion. We still communicate with the family and really do wish them well. There are so many reasons why players/parents change teams and here are a few: not happy with current team or coach, not playing enough, closer to home, coaching styles or maybe just needing a change. On the other side of the coin it could be player poaching/recruiting. What's the point here, sometimes teams, coaches need to look in the mirror and find out why player/players are leaving our teams. It's not always the team they are going to that poaches them, maybe they just weren't happy and wanted a change. In the case of the two players I mentioned, the LH could offer so much more than our team for many reasons....solid coaching, great facilities, great history of college placement of their players. The LH have been a solid program for years along with so many other teams out there, to numerous to mention. Try not to blame the other team, before you know the circumstances completely and finally look in the mirror.
